Our next scheduled date for providing a meal at the Ronald McDonald House is Saturday, September 13. This is at the newly opened House at St Joe's Children's Hospital. 3030 W. Martin Luther King Blvd, inside the hospital.
If anyone would like to coordinate and lead this event, please let me know. Max group number is 8, other information below.

Parking: Free, available in St. Joseph's Women’s Hospital general parking lot.
  • There are two general parking lots for the Women’s Hospital. One immediately located at the base entrance.
  • Across St Isabel St, there is an additional parking lot.
Arrival Instructions: Read carefully
  • Car with meal supplies can pull up to the emergency vehicle entrance. Please pull off to one side so emergency vehicles can still pass if needed.
  • Enter the lobby and go through security check (medal detector).
  • Approach Guest Services desk.
  • Provide your name and company/ organization to pick up your “Guest Chef” badge and elevator code.
  • Request RMH cart from Guest Services representative.
  • Take cart to unload items from your car and proceed through lobby, passed the cafeteria, and continue straight to the elevator bank.
  • Proceed to the 4th floor.
  • Turn right out of the elevator and RMH will be in front of you.
Provide-A-Meal Overview:
  • Decide on the dinner recipe your group would like to make for 25 people.
  • Purchase all necessary ingredients and disposable to-go containers or heavy-duty paper plates.
  • Allow additional time for arrival to go through security procedures.
  • Suggested arrival between 3:30/3:45p
  • Make a delicious dinner onsite for our guest families in our kitchens. All volunteers must wear provided gloves while cooking and packaging food.
  • Dinner should be ready to serve between 6-6:30pm.
  • Package and date remaining food in containers.
  • Complete all clean-up, including wiping down surfaces, placing dishes in the dishwasher, taking out kitchen trash, etc.
  • A tour will be provided by a staff or volunteer.
Volunteer Requirements:
  • Please limit the group size to 8 people due to available cooking space.
  • Participants must be a least 14 years of age. Teens 14 and older who cook must have one adult supervisor (21 yrs. of age).
  • Our kitchen has 2 prep stations for groups to use. Complete with 2 stove tops, 2 ovens, 2 sinks. Various cooking utensils, pots, pans, baking sheets. We also have cutting boards, knives, and cooking/measuring utensils.
  • Please provide a well-balanced meal including a protein, vegetable. We always have breads, however fresh fruit, juice, tea and lemonade are needed.
  • Alcohol on site is prohibited.

  • Please do not come to RMH if you have a cold or other illness.
  • We provide gloves onsite, which must be worn when preparing or handling food.
  • All volunteers must sign in with VolunteerHub Visitor Management System.
